We are seeking an Audiologist to conduct exams/assessments for the people who sacrificed the most for our country!!

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule, work when you want to work.1-5 days per weekor just 1 day every few months, you decide!
  • You will be paid $120 per veteran seen.This comes out to roughly $80-140/hr on average, after all the documentation is done on each veteran.
  • Typically seeing only 4-14 veterans a day
  • Work from your own office or an office of your choice


About the Audiologist

  • As an audiology examiner you will conducting audiology exams and completing applicable disability benefits questionnaires. The questionnaire helps collect necessary medical information so that the VA may process a Veterans disability claims.


  • Audiogram (Puretone and Bone Conduction Thresholds) . Acoustic Reflex Testing/ Tympanometry (Ipsilateral and contralateral acoustic reflexes). Speech Discrimination Testing (Recorded presentation using a Maryland CNC word list). Stenger Test. Cerumen extraction


  • 50% of the veterans have new claims where you may have to review past records and consider occupational specialties.The other 50% is already service related and just reviewing whether its the same or worse type thing.


  • The veterans truly appreciate the care provided by the Audiologist, more so than the average patient going to a typical health system.


  • You will be fully trained in how to do these assessments.


Ideal Audiologist:


  • Is investigative in nature, wants to understand the veterans claim, collect evidence, and stay unbiased.
  • Someone who can stay focused on 1 patient at a time
  • Can handle the challenge of completing documentation.
  • Must have access to an office to conduct these assessments.


Audiologist Requirement:


  • Masters or doctorate degree from a college or university accredited by either the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education (ACAE) or the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • State licensed
  • You need an office to do these assessments, we cannot provide one.
