A Leonard Sales Associate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented, results-driven team member that can find solutions for every customer's request while placing phone and store walk-in orders. Works independently under specified objectives. Responsible for providing expert advice and comprehensive information on every product we sell while creating a great experience for our customers.

Leonard is a privately-owned retailer, manufacturer, and distribution business whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers and aftermarket truck accessories. We serve residential, commercial, and government customers throughout the five-state region of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee. What will you be Responsible for?

  • Establishes, develops, and maintains positive customer relationships. Ensures a positive customer experience by building value in our products and the company.
  • Able to multitask effectively and proficiently by navigating through multifunctional CPU interface systems and vendor websites in an efficient manner.
  • Properly enter customer information into necessary programs to ensure successful product delivery. Examine, analyze, and document relevant details to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Present, educate, and sell merchandise to customers while addressing the customer’s needs with exceptional quality and professionalism.
  • Answering all incoming calls promptly and professionally in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Display strong salesmanship techniques for closing sales by building rapport, qualifying customers, dealing with rebuttals, and overcoming objections. Exhibit the ability to effectively upsell and cross-sell company products after closing the sale.
  • Manage, maintain and update all social media accounts for the Leonard location for sales and referrals.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer systems and technologies
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work on weekends and holidays
  • Honest, trustworthy and dependable
  • Outstanding communication skills


What are the Nice to Haves?

  • Be able to type at least 45 wpm
  • Knowledge of aftermarket automotive accessories
  • Strong social media presence
  • Experience selling and demonstrating vehicle accessories
  • Bilingual is a plus


ADA Statement:

  • Ability to stand and move throughout the store and outdoor areas.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items that weigh up to 50 pounds regularly, including truck accessories and trailer parts.
  • Ability to maneuver effectively around the sales floor, stockroom, and loading/unloading areas.
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to handle tools and truck parts.
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions as some activities occur outdoors.
  • Tolerance for environments with dust and loud noise.
