Job Description

Gojob is hiring Forklift Operators for a global transport and logistic company located in Locust Grove, GA. Work history required and at least 1 year of experience on required equipment. Cherry picker experience required.

You will be responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, Reach-truck, Cherry Picker, Pallet Jack or other heavy material handling equipment as required. Schedule:

  • Initial training week scheduled Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm
  • Following the training week, shifts available:
    • Day: Fri-Sun, 6am-4:30pm
    • Evening: Fri-Sun, 5pm-3:30am

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize simple go/no go test equipment and gauges to check for component operation, binds, and clearances and make simple adjustments.
  • Responsible for quality of own work in an environment where errors may cause rework or scrap expense.
  • Checks the work products of other assemblers for defects. Fills out audit checklists, as needed.
  • Perform manufacturing and distribution tasks as an entry level and newly trained employee.
  • Understand, follow, and apply operational and technical instruction
  • Understand routing, packing and assembly instructions or procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Education or Equivalent
  • 1 year forklift experience required
  • Basic computer and math skills - add, subtract, count parts and match numbers to inventory records.
  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds - moderate physical exertion caused by repetitive handling of parts and containers; standing, stooping, bending, reaching.
  • Good judgment and sound decision-making
  • Ability to quickly learn new production/distribution techniques and equipment, and adapt new applications to the work environment.
  • Capable of achieving job proficiency and/or Certification in basic assembly/pack distribution positions within 5-10 days under entry level manufacturing and warehouse conditions. May require use of simple hand and power tolls.
