Campus Facilities Technical Manager

Cloudpoint Geospatial is looking for a Campus Facilities Technical Manager to lead the development and delivery of campus facilities GIS solutions. This position will involve working alongside a team of technical GIS professionals to address common industry problems and challenges involving space planning and asset inventory management. An ideal candidate will be well-rounded in facility information systems management including experience working withGIS, CAD, or BIM data to improve workflows for space utilization and asset management The desired candidate also has experience in managing people and projects. Excellent communication skills are required. Prospective candidates shall also display professionalism in interfacing with clients and be able to keep organized and thorough notes, and work well independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Working directly with clients to determine requirements and propose GIS solutions around space planning and asset inventory management
• Supporting sales activities by creating cost estimates and custom technical proposals
• Producing and maintaining indoor spatial data sets (including 2D and 3D floor plans) and mapping layers, and providing analysis using various GIS methods and tools
• Assisting with development of quality assurance and performing quality control to ensure a high degree of data consistency, integrity, and accuracy

• Managing project resources, schedules, and budgets
• May act as a supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major work in physical or natural science, geography, engineering, planning, computer science, a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years of full time experience in facility information systems management
• Expertise in updating floor plans and creating or collecting indoor mapping data
• Proficiency in basic office applications and the ability to learn new hardware and software components

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in collecting spatial data for facilities as it applies to space information management
• Experience working with enterprise asset management or computerized maintenance management systems
• Experience with Esri’s ArcGIS platform especially ArcGIS Indoors
• GIS Professional Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment
• The ability to travel occasionally nationwide including overnight stays

Work Context:

• Frequent work operating a computer in an office (or home office) setting.
• Frequently sedentary with occasional fieldwork requiring walking and lifting 20lbs.
• Frequently communicates with coworkers and clients about project work and must be able to clearly exchange accurate information in these situations.
