Compensation:

$18 - $23 per hour + bonuses

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the legal calendar deadlines and case milestones for the firm
  • Organize and prioritize legal appointments, court appearances, and tasks efficiently
  • Handle client communications via phone and email, ensuring timely responses
  • Maintain client records accurately in the firm’s case management system
  • Keep track of legal fees, budgets, and project status diligently
  • Lead in setting up, organizing files, and managing client case files
  • Coordinate consultations, meetings, and events effectively
  • Summarize case information and files for internal and client communication clearly
  • Assist in drafting letters, reports, and documents based on templates provided
  • Prepare legal documents for meetings, depositions, and hearings accurately
  • Conduct legal research and assist in cite-checking for attorneys
  • Investigate and analyze case issues thoroughly
  • Assist in all phases of case preparation, including discovery and trial
  • Prepare trial binders and coordinate trial exhibits efficiently
  • Keep the attorney and legal team updated on case status consistently
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding case status
  • Coordinate with courts, couriers, and litigation support vendors promptly
  • Effectively communicate with individuals at all levels and backgrounds
Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate must have prior experience working specifically as a Family Law Paralegal
  • Previous work experience in a law firm in a paralegal or legal assistant capacity is a mandatory requirement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat is essential
  • Ability to quickly grasp and effectively utilize new technology and software tools is necessary
  • Strong written communication skills are vital, characterized by consistency, attention to detail, and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are a must, with a friendly and proactive communication approach
  • Strong organizational skills are required, including the ability to follow existing procedures or develop new ones when needed
  • Patience and consistency in upholding established standards and guidelines are key attributes
  • Capable of investigating information with empathy and positivity
  • A positive and solution-focused problem solver is what we are looking for
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are crucial
