Banquet Set Up

Join the team at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa in Rochester, NY, as a Banquet Setup Server where you will be a key player in crafting unforgettable experiences for our guests. Your main duty will involve aiding in the preparation, arrangement, and flawless execution of banquets, corporate meetings, weddings, and other special gatherings hosted at our esteemed hotel.

$18 hourly

Set Up and Breakdown:

• Prepare banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table and chair arrangement, linens, and decorations
• Assist in the breakdown and cleanup of banquet areas after events, ensuring a clean and organized space for the next function

Service Excellence:

• Serve food and beverages to guests during events, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with the banquet team, including servers, bartenders, and event coordinators, to ensure seamless event execution
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently

Attention to Detail:

• Ensure that all banquet equipment, utensils, and glassware are properly set and in pristine condition
• Monitor and replenish supplies as needed during events

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to health and safety standards, including food handling and sanitation guidelines
• Follow hotel policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment

• Previous experience in banquet setup and service preferred, but not required
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Physical stamina to lift and carry banquet equipment and perform other physically demanding tasks
