Position Overview: As a Head Start Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of children in our care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with the lead teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Assisting in the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Providing individualized support and attention to children with diverse needs and abilities.
- Encouraging positive interactions and social development among children.
- Supporting daily classroom routines, including meals, naptime, and transitions.
- Engaging with families and staff to ensure each child's holistic development.
- Promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certification
- Or willingness to obtain a CDA through our internal professional development programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting
- A strong passion for early childhood education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Dedication to following the lead teacher's guidance and implementing best practices.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment
- Ability to pass required backgrounds and health survey.
