Multiple locations in Brazos Valley, Texas (Bryan, Neal, Navasota, Hearne, Brenham, Madisonville)

Position Overview: As a Head Start Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of children in our care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with the lead teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Assisting in the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Providing individualized support and attention to children with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Encouraging positive interactions and social development among children.
  • Supporting daily classroom routines, including meals, naptime, and transitions.
  • Engaging with families and staff to ensure each child's holistic development.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Minimum Requirements:


  • Child Development Associate (CDA) certification
    • Or willingness to obtain a CDA through our internal professional development programs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting
  • A strong passion for early childhood education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
    • Dedication to following the lead teacher's guidance and implementing best practices.
    • A commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Ability to pass required backgrounds and health survey.
