JOB TITLE: Food Service Utility Worker

 

EMPLOYER: Spokane Treatment and Recovery Services

 

DEPARTMENT: Withdrawal Management

 

REPORTS TO: Operations and Facilities Manager

 

SALARY: $17.25

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-time, not benefits eligible

EXEMPTION STATUS: Non-Exempt

EFFECTIVE DATE: 2/1/2024

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for cooking and general housekeeping.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Performs varies housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the facility

· Escort clients to the laundry room and assist with laundry as needed

· Assist in planning and preparation of lunch and dinner menus for up to 40 clients and staff

· Load and unload dishwasher as needed.

· Wash pots, pans, and other equipment as needed.

· Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen, i.e. mopping floors, emptying trash, etc.

· Assist in purchasing, loading, and unloading of food and supplies.

· Maintain operation of all kitchen equipment.

· Responsible for proper storage of all kitchen chemicals.

· Responsible for maintaining regulatory health standards for kitchen, all food storage rooms, and refrigeration units.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Food Handlers Card

· Computer skills required: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
