Role Summary
As the Business Development Manager, you will drive new client revenue opportunities, establish referral partnerships, attend networking opportunities to secure potential client leads, maintain accurate documentation in the company CRM, and strengthen client relationships to uncover additional revenue opportunities. Your focus will be expanding our client base, increasing revenue streams, and fostering long-term business partnerships.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new client revenue opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, prospecting, and leveraging existing networks.
- Establish and nurture referral partnerships with complementary businesses, industry associations, and community organizations to generate leads and drive revenue growth.
- Network effectively to build and maintain relationships with potential clients, industry influencers, and key stakeholders.
- Document all relevant information and activities in our company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales pipelines, and revenue forecasts.
- Strengthen and maintain existing client relationships through regular communication, understanding their needs, and providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including recruitment and operations, to ensure successful client onboarding and service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Ideal fit for the role:
- Experience in the Construction Industry is strongly preferred.
- Existing network of contacts and relationships in the Construction Industry.
- Strong ability to generate new client revenue opportunities and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of prospecting in a large addressable market using cold calls/emails/social media, and willing to engage in a multi-channel prospecting process actively.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly goals and targets.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong business acumen, market knowledge, and ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
Education, Skills, & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (or equivalent experience level, 2-3 years)
- Proven business development and sales track record, preferably in the Construction Industry
- Intermediate level in using Microsoft Office products. Especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in using CRM systems and other sales tools to manage and track sales activities effectively.
Compensation / Benefits / Location:
- $80,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
