JOB SUMMARY
In this position you will work closely with the product design authority and IVVQ teams to support product development and project execution, to enable the safe and efficient integration of drones into our airspace and our communities.
The System Engineer analyzes the operational needs, contributes to the analysis of the architectures, the functions, and the major properties of the systems such as safety, security, and human factors in compliance with customer requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and understand the customer’s needs and through life cycle concerns whatever the used means (e.g. advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, etc.).
Formalizes mission/function description, architectural design, and requirements in collaboration with Product Design Authority (PDA).
Formalizes the specification, engineering plans and activities allocation used to develop the solution. Assembles the elements of the solution in a logical and controlled manner to evaluate the design, behavior, interactions, and performance to confirm that the requirements which the solution has been designed are fulfilled.
Prepare and support activities for system integration, verification, and validation tests plans and release reports to assure and verify that customer requirements are met, and newly implemented features behave as expected.
Support change management process.
Demonstrates that the solution satisfies the overall approved operational needs, and that the system data package is ready for release to operation and support. Contributes to Systems Architecture or to the Systems Engineering Management.
Support formal design reviews and the creation, and delivery of technical R&D papers. Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in systems, electrical or software engineering or another technical field with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in systems, electrical or software engineering or another technical field with 4+ years of relevant software and/or electrical development design experience.
Applicable IT certifications, cybersecurity certifications, or military experience is also acceptable.
Five or more years of relevant work experience in a system engineering, network management, IT, or cybersecurity related field.
Good understanding of network and computer troubleshooting techniques and of computer systems, including basic Windows and Linux administration.
Working knowledge of data analysis methods and tools including either Matlab or Python.
Experience supporting complex projects/programs with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
Must be a US Person as defined in applicable law.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined in applicable law, or otherwise authorized or eligible for authorization, to access to hardware, software, technology, or technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
