Title: Director of Maternal Services – Registered Nurse RN
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Labor / Delivery
Location: Hondo, TX
Schedule: 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday, rotation nursing admin on call required
Pay: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, plus full benefits
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Nursing duties to include but not limited to:
-Directs the daily operations, programs, and activities in the Labor and Delivery department to include the supervision, management, and direction of the staff and clinical practice per state/federal requirements and the organizational/departmental philosophy and goals
-Plans and organizes activities related to specified clinical services to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with professional standards of maternal, post-partum and neonatal nursing care and hospital or center administrative procedures
-Coordinates activities with other hospital departments, patient care units, ambulance services, medical staff, patient's relatives, law enforcement officers, clergy, morticians, and other health facilities
REQUIREMENTS:
-Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school required; MSN preferred
-At least 5 years OB experience; BLS, ACLS, NRP
-Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work collaboratively with other providers and departments
