Responsibilities – Body Shop Metal Tech:

• Perform a thorough teardown of damaged vehicles and prepare supplemental damage list for estimator
• Perform collision repairs to all makes and models per various insurance company estimates
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical window and seat components, interior and exterior trim, and any other components necessary to access damaged area(s) of vehicle for repair
• Repair dented/damaged vehicle body panels or components
• Replace damaged panels, grilles, or other vehicle components that cannot be repaired
• Inspect replacement parts for damage and correctness prior to installation
• Frame repair- pull and straighten
• Aim headlights, adjust body components (doors, hoods, lift gates, tail gates, bumpers, etc.)
• Properly use shop equipment (welders, torches, frame rack, a/c machine, etc.)
• Keep shop area neat and clean
  
  

Requirements - Body Shop Metal Tech:

• At least 2 years experience as a Body Shop Metal Tech required
• Working knowledge of body shop equipment and tools
• Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license and good driving record
• Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively to ensure positive team performance of the collision department
