Medical Billing Specialist

A Day in the Role:

This position requires a focus on customer service, particularly in sensitive situations, such as coordinating with a Resident’s family. A/R serves as liaison in responding to accounts receivable inquiries for solution of billing issues or for information or interpretation from third parties.

• Perform research, corrections, and updates within accounts receivable management systems to facilitate billing and receipt of compensation for services rendered during resident care.
• Execute account management functions including billing, collection, reimbursement calculations, cash posting, and reconciliation for assigned inventory
• Conduct accurate pre-billing reviews, billing, follow-ups, and cash posting of charges within the designated functional area
• Validate claims through
• Triple Check Claim Validation Billing for all business lines, follow up on
• 3rd Party and Private Pay accounts, and manage cash and denials posting along with credit balance and refund resolution.
• Facilitate Resident Final Billing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

 Core Experience:

• Minimum one (1) year healthcare accounts receivable experience in billing, collections, cash posting or other healthcare revenue cycle related experience.    
• Knowledge of billing, collections, and cash posting processes in a health care provider environment.
• Experience working with CPT and ICD-10.
