Unit Description:

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for Crowley Independent School District in Crowley, Texas, just south of Fort Worth. The ideal candidate will have some School Nutrition experience and familiarity with the National School Lunch Program guidelines.  This is a fulltime, year-round position.


This is a projected opening and a contingent offer will be made.

 

Crowley ISD has 26 schools, including 15 elementary schools, a Montessori Academy, four middle schools, two ninth grade schools, two high schools, an alternative learning center and a career and technology education center. The district is privileged to serve more than 16,500 students who benefit from a laser focus on excellence in education – academics, arts, athletics and real-world applications.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for menu planning and nutritional analysis;
  • be responsible for special diets required by the district and work closely with school nurses, students and families;  
  • work with nutrition issues related to food allergies, weight management and disordered eating patterns and other medical issues requiring meal selection assistance;
  • provide direction for planning strategic goals, standards of the brand and maintaining effective communication with other managers and inter-department liaisons;
  • establish and execute Client and Sodexo operating standards;
  • maintain and develop client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services; and
  • stay current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

  • are a Registered Dietitian with TX license;
  • have familiarity with USDA regulations and processes as related to the National School Lunch Program;
  • show proven history of working as a self-starter, with strong demonstrated ability to work independently;

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
