SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring that components are properly leak-checked to precise customer specifications as are described within engineering prints, and manufacturing instructions.

Supervisory Responsibilities - None

Duties

  1. Follows precise engineering instructions to ensure products are leak - checked to specification.
  2. Serve as a backup for Final-Assembly personnel in order to keep processes moving through the department.
  3. Works closely with Production Control to ensure timely completion of highest priority jobs.
  4. Works closely with other QA department personnel to ensure prompt delivery of products.
  5. Interfaces closely with other support departments to keep processes moving through system.

Tasks require walking, sitting, bending, reaching, mobility, frequent lifting and pushing/pulling. Work requires computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and data-entry), attention to detail and accuracy. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks and any stress associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position are essential requirements in the performance of this job.

General Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and understand precise prints and routing instructions.
  2. Safely operate hoists and other equipment in the movement of very heavy metal components.
  3. Accurately input and extract data/information using basic computer/system skills.
  4. Ability to learn and apply safe handling procedures for equipment, chemicals and materials.
  5. Ability to understand and follow MSDS requirements and their safe application.

Education and/or Experience

Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from High School, or that would provide required knowledge, skill and ability to successfully perform the assigned job duties.

Relevant 6-months manufacturing experience, or equivalent; plus basic computer skills.

Language Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Mathematical Skills

Basis mathematics skills.

Reasoning Ability

Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with quickly changing work priorities.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

TOOLS AND/OR EQUIPMENT

WORK ENVIRONMENT

100% inside general manufacturing environment. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting up to 100+ pounds with assistance. Must wear safety glasses and face-shield while working near or around grinders, polishers, bead-blasting, etc. Must wear hearing protection where required; optional safety-belt while lifting heavy objects (over 25-pounds). Appropriate hygiene and clothing for a manufacturing environment with dangerous moving equipment. This position work is in a factory setting.
