Maintenance Manager/Planner

Delta Biofuel is seeking a strong leader and experienced maintenance manager to be the Maintenance Supervisor / Planner for its ground-breaking bagasse pelletizing facility in Jeanerette, Louisiana.  Construction has begun and Delta is seeking immediate involvement of an ideal candidate who can take part in the establishment of policy, procedures, planning and personnel development for the plant.  In addition to being a strong leader, the candidate should be able to show a history of encouraging teamwork, community, and a collaborative atmosphere. Significant experience is also required regarding ability to establish and follow safety guidelines and create a healthy work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant maintenance and turnarounds to be completed safely on budget, on schedule, and of highest quality
• Maintain clean and safe workplace
• Analyze maintenance costs and pellet product quality to establish areas for improvements
• Ensure adherence to rules, procedures, and workplace policies
• Examine maintenance processes and procedures to effectively use available resources
• Develop and manage facility maintenance planning, procedures, spare parts inventory, and 3rd party maintenance contractor relationships
• Manage all aspects of the maintenance of the facility

Qualifications

• Recommended but not required associates or technical certification in millwright or electrician trade or relevant field
• 15+ years of experience in continuous process maintenance management
• Experience in material handling continuous maintenance requirements
• Experience in the setup and use of a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Experience in pelletizer maintenance is a distinct differentiator
• Experience in quality management is of significant value
• Strong communication, management and supervisory skills
