As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining CNC lathe machines efficiently while maintaining a focus on quality and precision. Your primary responsibility will be to produce parts and components according to engineering specifications and blueprints. This role requires a deep understanding of CNC programming, machine setup, and tooling, as well as a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

CNC Machinist Essential Functions:

  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce accurate and high-quality parts.
  • Programming: Interpret and implement CNC programs to control the machining process, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Tooling Setup: Install and adjust cutting tools, as well as select appropriate tooling based on job requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct in-process inspections and use precision measuring instruments to ensure the produced parts meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC lathe machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and address issues related to machine malfunctions, tool wear, or programming errors to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including job setups, tool changes, and inspection results.

CNC Machinist Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup, Doosan experience a plus
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
