The Facility Care Technician will ensure the cleanliness and organization of our facilities in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position plays a vital role in creating a positive experience for our staff, visitors, and clients, reflecting our commitment to superior standards and customer satisfaction. This technical expert is recognized and supported by management in a stable work environment so they can deliver quality work on a consistent basis.

COMPENSATION
This position has a competitive compensation package that is a combination of $17 - $20 per hour base pay plus profit sharing paid quarterly after 1 year of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Master of Cleanliness: Maintain sparkling restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and common areas through efficient sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing.
  • Waste Warrior: Ensure proper disposal of trash and recycling, keeping waste bins emptied and sanitized.
  • Germ Buster: Deep clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and other restroom fixtures, promoting a healthy and safe environment.
  • Stocking Pro: Keep restrooms and cleaning supplies well-stocked, anticipating needs and placing orders as needed.
  • Eye for Detail: Wash windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces, ensuring a polished and professional appearance.
  • Safety First: Report any maintenance or safety concerns, contributing to a secure and hazard-free workplace.
  • Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues to maintain uniform cleaning standards and create a positive work environment.
  • Adaptable All-Star: Assist with setup and cleanup for special events, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to help.
  • More Than Just Cleaning: Perform minor maintenance tasks, manage inventory, and ensure grounds and walkways are clean and debris-free.
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience Counts: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with prior experience in commercial janitorial or cleaning services.
  • Cleaning Savvy: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and MSDS procedures is essential.
  • Physically Fit: Ability to handle cleaning equipment, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift is required.
  • Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: The ability to work independently and collaboratively is key.
  • Communication Ace: The ability to communication with others based on knowledge of repetitive job routines and procedures gained from sufficient on-the-job experience.
  • Reliable and Punctual: We count on your commitment to being on time and dependable.

  • Fast-paced: The ability to work in a stable environment, based on known relationships with people and well-defined processes.

  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed is required.
  • Clear Background: The ability to pass a background check and drug screening (if applicable) is mandatory.
