Spectrum Manager/RF Project Manager

IDS is seeking a Spectrum Manager/ RF Project Manager to manage the use of the radio spectrum in order to minimize interference and ensure radio spectrum is used to its most efficient extent and benefit our client. This individual will effectively delegate project assignments to appropriate internal contacts and maintain RF schedule to track and chart project timelines.

 

Location: Butlerville, IN

 

Responsibilities:

  • Overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects related to RF technologies to including planning, scope, development, design, and direction of major projects
  • Manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and restore hardware, operating systems, applications, and software including updates, security patches, and backups for best end users support relative to all aspects of Spectrum Management and RF technologies
  • Ensure user operational requirements are satisfied technically and fielded systems meet user performance expectations
  • Maintain temporary frequency requests and approval records and associated databases
  • Provide guidance on spectrum certification process, control of frequency allocation, 5-year plans, Spectrum XXI database, frequency deconfliction, and frequency surveillance and monitoring techniques
  • Collaborates with others to develop the best way to tackle complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problems
  • Working in ambiguous environment and collaborating across multiple areas

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a wide variety of technology including but not limited to:  Cellular systems, camera systems, Industrial Control Systems, SCADA devices, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, building management systems, radio frequency (RF) communications devices, local and wide area networks, CCTV, electronic security and access control systems, and general telecommunication skills to include terminating wiring and fiber optic cables
  • Experience in the configuration and operation of cyber range or computer test-bed environments.
  • Graduate of Army Electronic Spectrum Manager Course or Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Management Course
  • 5years’ experience within past 10 years to being at Spectrum Manager/RF Project Manager
  • Meet IAT Level 2 requirements of DoD 8570.1M
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in RF Operations
  • Hold or be able to acquire an interim TOP SECRET clearance within 30day of hire
  • Maintain active TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operational experience in Cyberspace Operations and/or Information Warfare
  • Cellular and Industrial Control Systems engineering and administration experience.
  • Experience with electronic attack or electronic warfare systems and operations
  • Exercise design, test and evaluation, modeling, and simulations, as well as research and development familiarity

 

Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Cloud, physical, and virtual network engineering experience required.
  • Experience with hypervisors such as VMware, CypherPath, KVM, etc.
