OTR Drivers are responsible for safely transporting freight from one company location and/or port to another in a timely manner.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Operates a Renfro Corporation vehicle safely.

* Determines and executes proper cargo securement procedures

* Delivers and picks up merchandise and products.

* Follows route and time schedules.

* Proficient use of ELD and production of any DOT required paperwork.

* Performs daily safety and maintenance checks.

* Ensures security of all equipment and tools.

* Follows DOT regulations and safety standards.

**QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Proven ability to work as an independent route driver.

* Good communication and organizational skills.

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Must be at least 25 years of age.

* Must possess a valid CDL A Drivers License from your state.

* Must have at least one (1) year OTR driving experience.

* Possess, or be able to obtain, a current DOT Medical Examiners Certification card.

* Have a verifiable work history and references.

* Flexibility with the work schedule is required.

* Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and be willing to submit for random drug screens as required by DOT regulations.

* Standing 10%, walking 10% and sitting 80% of time.

* Lifting 15-45 lbs, occasionally.

* Carrying 15-20 lbs, occasionally.

* Pushing and pulling up to 25lbs, occasionally.

* Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, balancing, and climbing, occasionally.

* Ability to work in close proximity to load lifting and moving machinery
