The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties Inc. is looking to fill the position of Bookkeeper. This position is full time, Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm at $21.63 – $24.03 per hour. The main worksite is located at 713 Union Street, Hudson, NY 12534.

The Finance Department is responsible for the planning, auditing, accounting, organizing, monitoring, and payroll of the organization. Each position plays a key role in the success of a smooth functioning department. This department will be considered a resource to the management team with all functions of the finance department.


Job duties include:

  • Coding, data entry into an accounting program.
  • Bill payments.
  • 1099 processing.
  • In-house charge accounts.
  • Responsible for reconciling Petty Cash.
  • Rep Payee Accounts
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Preparing of bank deposits
  • Filing/copying
  • Assistance with grants / preparation of invoicing for payment to agency
  • Back up for payroll processing (Paylocity)
Requirements:
  • Must have an associate degree in finance or related field, and at least 3 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Excellent math and computer skills, especially with Excel, are essential.
  • Experience with Fund EZ, Blackbaud, and Paylocity preferred.
  • Previous experience with a non-profit setting preferred.
  • Should be an independent worker possessing strong verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work in a faced paced environment.
