Job Description
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. In this role, you will work within a school district in theYreka, CA area, providing vital support to students with disabilities to help them achieve their academic and developmental goals.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs.
Provide direct therapeutic services to students in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs).
Assist students in developing and improving fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and activities of daily living.
Conduct assessments and regularly monitor student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and school staff regarding student progress and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or clinical setting preferred.
Knowledge of educational laws and regulations pertaining to special education (e.g., IDEA) is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in various school settings.
