Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. In this role, you will work within a school district in theYreka, CA area, providing vital support to students with disabilities to help them achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Pay & Benefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs.

  • Provide direct therapeutic services to students in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs).

  • Assist students in developing and improving fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and activities of daily living.

  • Conduct assessments and regularly monitor student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.

  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and school staff regarding student progress and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).

  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or clinical setting preferred.

  • Knowledge of educational laws and regulations pertaining to special education (e.g., IDEA) is desirable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in various school settings.

Interview Process:

  • (10-15) minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter

  • (20-30) minute virtual interview directly with the school

  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of the virtual interview.
