Human Resources Generalist - $55,000 + Benefits

Montgomery City, MO 

$50,000 to $55,000 (based on experience) plus benefit package

Full-time and on-site. Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Role Description

Responsible for managing HR policies and procedures, employee benefits administration, and HR management on a day-to-day basis

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Reviews and documents compliance for training, continuing education, and work assessments

· Recruits and facilitates the hiring of job applicants for open positions

· Conducts background checks and other verifications

· Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs

· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development

· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance

· Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

· Proficiency with  learning the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities

Education and Experience:

· Two years HR experience required

· Bachelor’s degree in HR, BA, or related field required

· One year of HR  management experience preferred

· Employee Benefits expertise, including benefits administration

· Experience in manufacturing or food service industry is a plus
