Who We’re Looking For:
Codeworks is seeking a highly skilled Lead Desktop Engineer to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about endpoint computing infrastructure and are committed to delivering excellence in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive endpoint deployment strategies, including Autopilot provisioning and Azure Virtual Desktop imaging.
- Design endpoint configuration management solutions using Microsoft Intune configuration profiles, Group Policy Objects, and PowerShell scripts.
- Manage mobile device (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) configurations and policies.
- Ensure compliance with endpoint security standards, implementing encryption, endpoint protection, and access controls.
- Implement automation solutions for desktop management tasks like patch management and software updates.
- Collaborate with end-users, support teams, and stakeholders to understand needs and enhance endpoint productivity.
- Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for desktop engineering processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 7 years of engineering experience with 3 years as a Desktop Engineer/Architect in a hybrid Microsoft environment.
- Expertise in Autopilot, Intune configuration profiles, MDM, and MAM app protection policies.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory infrastructure and desktop virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Terraform, etc.).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 suite and query languages (SQL or KQL).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty).
