Job Description:

The Family Education Facilitator is responsible for the education of parents that are at risk of losing their children to the Foster Care System. The Facilitator serves in the family's home and teaches 25 adaptive sessions pertaining to: parenting skills and resilience, home environment, protective factors for their children, support systems, child development and much more. Reports are sent to the DHHS caseworkers every week.

Responsibilities: ·

• Provide support and education to families in the state of Utah that are referred to Family 7 Foundations. ·
• Teach families the 25 affirmations outlined in the curriculum.
• Recognize, respond, and adapt to the educational needs of the family. ·
• Report back successes and struggles to the DHHS case worker every week.
• Share with the team any best practices or teaching methods that are new and innovative.
• Participate in continual curriculum development and improvement. ·
• Participate in gathering and interpreting data to have a successful data driven program and a continual quality improvement program. ·
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students. ·
• Maintain positive relationships with parents, children and case workers. ·
• Monitor progress of students. ·
• Complete required training and continued scheduled training.
• Remain compliant with state and federal regulations - specifically, but not exclusively HIPAA law regulations. ·
• Ensure that all students are successfully meeting their academic goals. ·
• Maintain attendance and travel records. ·
• Follow the mission of Family 7 Foundations.
• Strengthen families by holding 25 educational sessions that support 6 major areas of focus:
  • Self-Awareness,
  • Parenting Skills/Life skills
  • Home Hygiene – Nurturing Environments
  • Protecting Children
  • Building natural and community supports
  • Emotional regulation for parents and children
