Job Summary

The Forklift Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance on industrial equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, scissor lifts, tuggers, floor scrubbers and golf carts.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain industrial mobile equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, including root cause analysis. Including research of potential warranty, rework and continuously repetitive repairs using historical equipment data available through Field Connect service platform.

· Complete all repairs of equipment in a timely manner and by the manufacturer’s repair guidelines.

· Judgment and Decision Making - Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate course of action.

· Inspecting Equipment - Perform audits on equipment audits per the PM Planning tools schedule in Field Connect service platform.

· Communications - Provide information to supervisor, co-workers, and subordinates by phone, in writing, e-mail, or in person.

· Timely and accurate completion of all work orders and service records per the Concentric time standard.

· Maintain accurate and timely entry of work hours in Paylocity time keeping platform.

· Safety

o All work must be completed in a safe manner.

o Safety requirements by customer and Concentric must be adhered to.

o Work areas will be maintained to ensure safety.

o Work areas will be kept clean and organized daily.

o Timely Completion of Safety training modules.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
  • High School or GED Diploma required.
  • Must have 2-4 years of Forklift maintenance and repair experience. Preferred with brands like Crown, Raymond, etc.; desired but not required.
  • Experience as a material handling equipment mechanic.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word and Web Based Reporting Modules
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently with a sense of urgency.
