Travel Contract: School-based Occupational Therapist, Ewen MI

Calling on intrepid, Michigan-licensed Occupational Therapists who want to work in a school setting, and like the idea of wintering in the upper peninsula of Michigan! Soliant has partnered with a small school district in Ewen, MI, and is seeking a traveler to cover services for the spring semester.

With a caseload of only 40 students, this is a great assignment for OTs wanting to get away from high work loads, and actually enjoy their evenings and weekends.

Description of responsibilities:

• Plan, implementand tracktherapy/activitiesthat allow students to access their specialized instruction plans.
• Evaluate the potential and efficacy of Occupational therapy in areas such as: academic performance, fine and gross motor functioning, positioning, daily living skills, play/leisure skills, work skills, and sensory-motor activities.
• Propose a range of OT interventions in support of students' IEP (Individual Education Plan) goals; develop goals and report outcome to Special Education Team
• Assess students and recommend adaptations to allow students to accesstheir program of specialized instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and consultations

Requirements:

• Valid Michigan OT license
