Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with Innovare, a furniture install and design dealer, who is actively looking to hire a driven, self-motivated Business Development Manager in West Michigan. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in the commercial furniture industry, establish strategic partnerships, have excellent project management skills, and drive growth of the company. This individual will streamline the sales and design process to provide the best results for A&D and other new business development partners.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for potential new clients and rapidly turn opportunity into increased business by identifying and engaging the decision makers within the business community.
  • Position yourself as the subject matter expert and point of contact on any size project, including new business development, bids, and existing clients.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Manage timelines, expectations, and budgets with clients and direct the entire scope of the project from start to finish.
  • Become an Innovare brand ambassador to A&D, construction, real estate, etc.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, arguments, and proposals.
  • Provide product updates, conduct project meetings, and engage in relationship building touchpoints.
  • Be accountable with leadership towards development, strategy and the sales process.
  • Travel to in-person client meetings and/or sales presentations.
  • Ability to strategize, develop business relationships, and attend networking events.
  • Collaborate within other departments to ensure project success from start to finish.
Business Development Manager Qualifications:
To be considered for the Business Development Manager opportunity, applicants should:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Interior Design or a related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial furniture sales and/or design.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively time manage.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Prior experience in the commercial dealer industry is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within sales territory.
  • A passion for success and growth.
  • Innovation and the ability to utilize creative solution finding.
