Job Functions:
- Supervises the tool room personnel
- Schedules and reports on die maintenance and repairs to the tooling manager
- Schedules and reports on new tooling work being completed in the tool room
- Reports on condition of existing tools
- Trouble shoots all production jobs
- Participates in new tooling projects
- Ensures all safety policies and procedures are being followed
Job Requirements:
- Requires Trade School Certificate and minimum of 10 years experience in production, tooling, and engineering environment in the metal stamping market.
- Near acuity and accomodations are required machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and understand machine controls and computer screens.
- ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take action.
Working Conditions: High noise levels, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, breathing fumes, dust and mist.
