Summary
Silver Maple Construction has recently launched a new mechanical division that focuses on providing excellent customer service and specializes in the execution of complex and innovative residential HVAC and plumbing systems. To help us achieve our goals, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Master Plumber to become part of our team. Responsibilities

  • Works with architects and designers on equipment infrastructure capital projects, new builds remodels, and renovations, including the review of submittals and plans.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Lead Carpenters for the harmonious and expeditious completion of specific assignments/projects.
  • Conduct repairs, installations, replacements, tests, and troubleshoots of the water and distribution system, including valves, fixtures, and outlets.
  • Manage and supervise project work of plumbing and heating.
  • Installs new water, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Assists other department staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations where plumbing expertise is required.
  • Acts as a resource and may provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair in a compliant and safe manner.
  • Performs general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Responds quickly to emergencies, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Versatile and creative - crafting mechanical systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Plumbers work in various settings, some of which may contain hazards. The main occupational
hazards for plumbers to be aware of include:

  • Exposure to hazardous substances
  • Proximity to flammable products
  • Potential infection
  • The noise level in the work environment could be above average.


Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working on a project
  • Working in awkward positions, confined spaces, or at heights
  • Lifting heavy or awkward objects
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more with assistance
  • Must have high manual dexterity
  • Working with various tools
  • Exposure to electricity, high temperatures


Required Education + Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or related discipline required
  • Master Plumbing License
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook
