Geospatial Technician

As we continue to expand our Geospatial Division, we seek a dedicated and highly motivated Geospatial Technician to join our team to help us shape our organization's future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily processing of geospatial data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, and ensuring compliance to applicable project and industry standards related to aerial mapping products
• Classification of LiDAR point clouds
• Compilation of mapping features from LiDAR point clouds
• Compilation of mapping features from imagery
• DTM surface editing, planimetric feature extraction, and other CAD tasks

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be proficient in initial processing of LiDAR point clouds
• Must be proficient in feature extraction
• Familiarity with Riegl hardware and software a plus
• Familiarity with Topodot a requirement
• Familiarity with Trimble Business Center a plus
• Experience with topographic mapping and surveying
• Experience with LiDAR classification
• Excellent computer and technical skills, including Civil3D and/or MicroStation, ESRI, etc.
• Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills
• Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude
• Traditional land survey experience and knowledge is a plus
