Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician 3 is responsible for maintaining the facilities, will act as a liaison with contractors and have project management experience. This is a full-time, on-site position with the possibility of call ins for emergency repairs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of general construction principles.
- Responsible for maintaining all facilities owned by SVHC regarding repairs and upkeep.
- Ensure company vehicles are up to date regarding maintenance etc.
- Install appliances, equipment and assemble projects as needed.
- Conducts routine maintenance tasks drywall, roof, floor repair, and plumbing to include rough & finish work, water line repair, and relocation.
- Maintain, service clean and properly store equipment, tools, and machines.
- Conducts routine safety audits and checks.
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm, fire extinguisher).
- Inspect, report, and repair all damage to buildings or property.
- Participate in different projects and tasks assigned by upper management.
- Communicate to Administrator any issues that may cause operational interruption with any of the facilities.
- Organizes and maintains required record keeping of site safety activities and actions.
- Conducts accident/incident investigations as needed. Identifies root cause(s) and recommends corrective measures to be taken.
- Ability to liaise with contractors.
- Perform other related duties and activities as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Ability to successfully implement effective safety initiatives that reduce accidents/incidents and heighten safety awareness among employees.
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance, electrical, plumbing and or construction.
- 2+ years of auto mechanical maintenance experience.
- Comfortable with hand and electrical tools.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina
- To comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973’s essential physical, mental, and environmental requirements, employees must be able to successfully perform all functions of their job with minimal supervision.
Salary
$25.00-$28.00 (DOE)
Work Hours
Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (Hours may vary with additional work hours as needed)
