POSITION TITLE
Workforce Healthcare RN Coordinator
APPOINTMENT
Appointed by the Chancellor of the College upon the recommendation of the Chief of Staff and Executive Director of Workforce
LINE AND STAFF RELATIONSHIPS
The Workforce Healthcare RN Coordinator reports to the Executive Director of Workforce.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The Workforce Healthcare RN Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting and managing various administrative and operational aspects of workforce development activities within the organization. This position involves overseeing non-credit and credit workforce development initiatives in the healthcare sector, for the River Parish region. This position plays a crucial role in driving the success and effectiveness of workforce development in the healthcare sector, while ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
JOB DUTIES:
· Assistance with administrative duties, audits, financial management, grant management, registration management, and overall support for all non-credit and credit workforce development activities,
· Conduct the search for non-credit healthcare workforce course instructors and students,
· Approve time for non-credit instructors,
· Keep records for credentials and certificates,
· Support marketing efforts and track future marketing areas,
· The Workforce Healthcare RN Coordinator will research, implement, and manage new healthcare workforce programs for the River Parish region,
· Manage and administer the LA-NACT (Nurse Aide Certification Testing),
· The Workforce Healthcare RN Coordinator will also uphold the position of the RN Coordinator for compliance with the Louisiana Department of Health,
· The Workforce Healthcare RN Coordinator/ RN Coordinator will supervise no more than two nurse aide training programs and must be on-site at least 50% of all classroom and clinical instruction time,
· Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited college or university.
· Must have (1) of the following: master’s degree or above; VTTIE; CTTIE; or Train the Trainer certificate.
· Must have at least two years or more of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill in a Nursing home (NH) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local workforce education policy.
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Have a current, unencumbered nursing license in the state of Louisiana.
SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $65,000
