Are you a passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of preschool-aged children? We have an exciting opportunity available in Rensselaer, IN for an SLPA to join our team. This position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours and involves working with a preschool caseload in an itinerant role.

Position: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Rensselaer, IN

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations of preschool-aged children to assess their speech and language needs.
  • Attend case conferences and collaborate with other members of the educational team to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs.
  • Implement evidence-based therapy techniques and activities to address speech and language goals.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and assessments.
  • Travel between multiple locations to deliver services to students in various preschool settings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • Completion of an SLPA program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid Indiana license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple sites as needed.

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time, flexible hours
Employment Type: Itinerant position (some travel required)
