Job Description
The Outside Sales Manager is responsible for using their knowledge of company services to connect with businesses and generate sales for Ambassador. The Outside Sales Manager develops sales pitches to sell services, makes cold calls, produces sales leads, closes new business, and grows existing business. The primary responsibilities of the Outside Sales Manager revolve around the ability to network, build relationships with clients, and persuade others to utilize our service.
As an Outside Sales Manager, you will:
- Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
- Attend networking and community events held during and after hours.
- Become an expert on all services Ambassador offers to provide clients with solutions to fit their needs.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from initial contact to worksite evaluation through the first invoice.
- Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs in meetings via in-person, phone, or video conference.
- Create and present presentation of best services, rates, and terms to meet client’s specific needs.
- Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer relationship problems.
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Provides periodic sales forecasts.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proven excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to process information quickly and efficiently and apply practical solutions to problems.
- Ability to be flexible in schedule when required to meet deadlines.
