Staff Accountant (10X is posting on behalf of our client)


General Purpose

Are you looking for a place to use your Accounting skills? Are you able to process payables, receivables, general ledger and monthly reporting? Are you proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and QuickBooks? If you have all of the above plus strong written and verbal skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure, then we are looking for you. We are a fast paced, high volume manufacturing company seeking an experienced General Staff Accountant. Individual must be a team player and able to communicate with multiple departments and all levels of management.



Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions


General Accounting Functions

  • Prepare journal entries

  • Process Accounts Payable

  • Prepare Customer Invoices

  • Complete general ledger operations

  • Monthly closings and preparation of reports

  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts

  • Month end and year end closings

  • Administer all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment

  • Sales Tax Filings

  • Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process

  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks associated to accounting


Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, higher degree an advantage

  • Minimum 1 year experience in general accounting/accounts payable

  • MS Office, QuickBooks and knowledge of accounting software

  • Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures

  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation
