PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  1. Works in a safe manner and follows all company EH&S rules.
  2. Monitors the results of the Quality of the production process and communicates the information concerning quality to the Plant Manager and Director of Quality.
  3. Manages all aspects of QA Lab Technicians.
  4. Acts as a spokesperson to our customers regarding customer complaints, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer audits.
  5. Oversees implementation of all quality systems to meet ISO 9001-2015, and cGMP standards.
  6. Primary designee for certifying the Government Services Administration products that are produced here to meet customer and testing commitments.
  7. Responsible for entering supplier complaints.
  8. Responsible for document control of finishing specifications.
  9. Responsible for:
    1. Lab computer issues.
    2. Lab equipment yearly calibration.
    3. Ordering lab supplies.
    4. Weekly Quality Review Meetings.
    5. QA safety.
    6. Monthly customer call with Sales, Production, etc., along with Shift Lead.
    7. QA slides for monthly Town Hall meetings.
  10. Follows all Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  11. Responsibilities of this position as it directly influences the Quality of the finished product. Management is committed to improving the quality of goods and services through the philosophy of "Total Quality Management."
  12. Initiates ideas and develops proposals for improving Quality of everything we do as measured by our customers and for reducing costs, in order to make the Company more competitive in the marketplace.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager and Director of Quality.

Educational Experience

B. S. in Chemistry or Engineering

Required Experience:

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001-2015, , cGMP, and team building.

Physical Requirements:

Climbing stairs, walking, stooping, bending, eye/hand coordination, pulling, pushing, extended sitting, seeing, writing, listening, speaking, grasping, lifting.

Skills Required:

Public relations, telephone skills, operating office equipment (calculators, copier, printer), computer and software (Excel, Word, Power Point, JDE, Access, Lotus Notes and/or other email based software), organizational skills, cross-training, and presentation skills. Strong leadership skills desirable. Strong motivational and communication skills. Highly organized
