Description

Medica's Senior Analyst, Healthcare Analytics provides reporting and analytical support to provider partners with value based agreements. Our Value Based Provider Analysts work collaboratively with leadership and cross-functional partners to design and develop analyses to measure clinical outcomes and provider performance on key metrics through quantitative analysis of utilization and healthcare cost data.

Our Value Based Analytics segment offers continued growth opportunities within the team and across the organization.

What to expect:

  • Evaluate and assess member/claim data to identify trends and variance opportunities that will lower cost, improve member outcomes and improve overall quality of care.
  • Report findings and recommend areas to focus on to internal customers including physician leadership.
  • Manage multiple projects at one time with different stakeholders.
  • Provider analytic thought leadership to network and physician service departments as well as externally to provider partners.
  • Work independently and within a team to complete objectives
  • Independently investigate issues that may arise on multiple tasks or projects with limited involvement from others

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or analytic related degree with 5+ years of related professional experience
  • 2+ years' experience using SQL and/or SAS programming experience
  • QlikView, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools
  • Knowledge of MS office specifically MS Excel (ability to modify and maintain spreadsheets)

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • John Hopkins ACG Grouper, Milliman HCG Grouper, Symmetry ETG Grouper
  • Experience working with claim/provider data
  • Python/R
  • Demonstrated capability to present key findings of an analysis effectively to a non-technical audience both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • An internal drive to understand root cause and an inherent curiosity to dig into data
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic culture is important for success in this role

This position is a HUB role which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the Minnetonka, Madison and Omaha office or applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.

The full salary range for this position is $86,500 - $148,300. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
