LOCAL/HOURLY/ON-SITE

Dubois, Idaho

General Responsibility Statement

Work in the production of natural, high-grade calcium and other minerals

Essential Job Responsibilities

The essential job responsibilities consist of the following:

1. Production

Level I-III (1a-1e)

a. Process mined minerals by effectively using screens and efficiently operating and utilizing Roll Mills, Raymond Mills, Hammer Mills, Shaker Table, Impact Crusher and other mills and crushers.

b. Filling bags up to 50 lbs., as well as totoes; ensuring and double checking the filling is done properly and to the correct weights, utilizing scales and needed equipment.

c. Prepare and maintain basic legible production records and keep daily inventory counts.

d. Construct pallets for shipment.

e. Know and follow MSHA rules and training requirements.

2. Mining & Equipment Operating

Level I (2a)

a. Operate, air compressor, loaders, as well as forklifts in order to process mined materials, move materials and pallets and load or onload trucks.

Level II-III (2a-2b)

b. Operate heavy machinery including, but not limited to: haul trucks, fuel trucks, excavators, and dozers to mine and move materials.

3. Equipment Maintenance

Level I (3a-3d)

a. Performing daily inspections on all equipment the miner is certified on.

b. Performing preventive maintenance, including but not limited to cleaning and greasing equipment.

c. Performing routine maintenance on equipment, as well as calibration.

d. Change air filters, oil filters and fuel filters.

Level (3a-3g)

e. Fix issues with airlines and replace belts to include the Commodity and Dryer Building.

f. Perform welding as well as using cutting torches.

g. Perform minor electrical repairs and ability to read blueprints.

4. Other Duties

a. This position shall support its manager and shall ensure that all department members are cross trained on the position responsibilities.

b. May assist in seasonal quarrying.

c. Assisting with other duties assigned by Supervisor.

d. Create & print invoices and packing slips. Knowledge of computer programs.

Education, Reasoning Ability & Experience

High School Diploma or GED

Communication and Language Skills

Travel Requirements

This position does not require overnight travel.

Physical Demands

Must be able to frequently lift, walk and/or push/pull up to 50 pounds. Required to sit, climb, stoop, sweep, shovel and use computer, handle paperwork, aslo to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and/or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands. The employes is also, at times, exposed to fumes and airborne particulates.
