Job Summary
Our Maintenance Team is hiring a PLC Technician who is is responsible for the production environment industrial control and safety systems for the Southern Pines facility. We are looking for someone who is skilled in programing, troubleshooting and installing PLC and HMI software, while ensuring systems hardware and software stay current. This individual will be self-motivated, flexible and willing to shift priorities as needed.

Responsibilities
• Maintain the production environment industrial control and safety systems and ensure their operability and reliability remains continuous for plant operation. Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety procedures/regulations.
• Ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
• Support operations and maintenance efforts through, programming, troubleshooting, installing PLC’s, HMI’s, software and associated electrical controls as needed
• Keep current log and backed up memory of all programs, plc’s, web-based servers, for plant production operation.
• Read, interpret and comprehend manuals, safety protocols, policies, engineering standards, electrical and mechanical schematics/diagrams.
• Creates and modifies site operations procedures for equipment and recommends facilities reliability improvements.
• Recommends activities to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.    
• Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide efficiency solutions.

Basic Qualifications
• Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or associated field required.
• Minimum 1 year experience troubleshooting, programming PLC’s, HMI’s, Rockwell automation required.
• Experience with pneumatics and in plant operation automation environment preferred.
• Proficient with operating systems such as Microsoft, Outlook, (AutoCAD is a plus).
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

• Must be resourceful, can find solutions to unusual problems and meet customer needs
