Location: Exeter, CA

While reporting to the production shift supervisor, you will be responsible for packing thermoformed trays in a quick and safe manner. **Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success**. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with various teams and have a good eye to spot defects in the packing line. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail.

**What youll be doing:**

* Collaborating closely with other departments and teams

* Being able to work at a fast pace

* Packing a wide variety of products and materials

* Removing product from the line and visually inspecting to assure quality standards

* Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.

* Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager.

* Performing all duties in support of Sonocos quality and safety policies.

* Helping out in other departments as needed, including but not limited to the palletizing, labeling and warehouse areas of the factory.

* Have previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing/warehouse environment (Field Workers are encouraged to apply)

* Have sufficient Mechanical Skills is necessary to troubleshoot/fix machine issues

* Have a get it done attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks.

* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Have a working knowledge of our products and their quality requirements.

* Have extensive knowledge of personal hand tools and be able to safely use them to set-up, adjust and maintain production equipment.

* Are reliable, having good initiative, being committed, and being quality-focused is a must.

* Can lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.

* Have the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial to success.

* Have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.

* Are able to perform repetitious duties, including standing for long periods of time.

* Have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail
