Job Description

• The Production Engineer is responsible for providing leadership in the production operations at the facility. This individual will train closely with all departments to establish and enforce process methods that ensure operational effectiveness and production adherence. Strong collaboration is needed across the plant and the entire AMPI organization. This individual will create an environment of respect and responsibility through professional communication, accountability, budget consciousness, teamwork, quality, safety and security.

 

• Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
• Salary: Starting $55,000
• Hours Per Week: 40 + 
• Overtime: This is an exempt position, no OT paid for. Likely 10-15 a week. 
• Workweek: They will be expected to experience life in a dairy plant, which includes 24/7 work and weekends.
• Shifts: Week 1: 2 on – 2 off – 3 on Week 2: 2 off – 2 on – 3 off. A) Morning shift: 5:00 am – 5:00 pm B) Night shift: 5:00 pm – 5:00 am C) Morning shift: 5:00 am – 5:00 pm D) Night shift: 5:00 pm – 5:00 am. Training in the morning and work shift at nighttime, they can rotate shifts and schedule will be shared for the following month, in advance.
• Payment Days: Biweekly / Thursday

• Locations: Blair, WI or Sanborn, SD.

Qualifications

• Criminal Background Check and Drug Test: Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check. 
• English Level Required: Proficient (conversational English) 
• Physical requirements: Must be able to pass physical assessment performed by the factory´s doctor. 
• Documentation: "Título en Ingeniería, Cédula Profesional y Pasaporte". 
• Others: • Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP’s, OSHA and loss control programs highly desirable.
• Experience: 3-5 years relevant work experience preferred/required and 2 years of supervisory experience required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or other types of Engineering plus relevant work experience in related field could apply: Food Science, Biochemical Engineer,

Employer secures housing for up to 52 weeks, and the worker must secure own housing before the end of this period, or before if necessary. - Sanborn - Shared house, it is a two bedroom, 2 people per bedroom. - Blair: Two-bedroom apartment, 2 people per bedroom.
