Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Lead for our production facility. This is a 2nd shift position (hours 6pm - 6am) on a rotating 3-2-2 schedule. Three (3) year’s electrical maintenance experience, and supervisory experience, in a manufacturing environment required. Rockwell Systems and Allen Bradley experience required. The emphasis for this position is on Electrical Maintenance with General Preventative Maintenance included. Candidates who move forward in our process will take an initial General Maintenance Quiz, upon passing that, you will take an In-Person combined Electrical and Maintenance exam and have a facility tour. Skills and experience required are noted below. We offer a generous pay scale - up to $80k/annually, based on skills and test performance.   • Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels;

  • Accurately using measurement and test equipment;
  • Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed;
  • Maintain clean and organized work area, and cleaning up work area as part of completing assigned tasks;
  • Accurately and completely preparing and maintaining maintenance records and other paperwork;
  • Trouble-shooting and solving problems;
  • Requires good electrical and mechanical skills and aptitude;
  • Good troubleshooting skills;
  • Written and verbal communications skills;
  • Preferred skills in pneumatics, electrical, PLC and hydraulics;

Responsibilities

Responsible to lead preventative maintenance and repair tasks on industrial electrical and electronic equipment and support production as needed. Keep supervisor informed of issues related to safety, delays, and waste which could have negative results or cause quality issues and/or customer complaints. Must have strong leadership skills and possess the ability to lead a team and assign individuals to specific job tasks.

  • Be the expert for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment and train the electrical shop personnel
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with PLC (Allen Bradley), frequency drives, and standard controls
  • Must be self-motivated to ensure continuous learning and always finding productive work to accomplish
  • Possess ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment and deal with changing environments in high-stress situations
  • Responsible for enforcing safety practices and policies of the organization
  • Possess the ability to motivate employees within the crews
  • Maintain a safe work environment while compliant with job specifications, keep work areas clean and orderly
  • Be able to progressively train other employees appropriate for their tasks
  • Inspect equipment and components for damage and wear utilizing gauges, measuring devices and experience to determine any necessary actions
  • Respond to unexpected after hour call outs for repair and support
  • Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping
  • Must understand and follow job specific SOP’s

The essential functions of this role include:
