Responsibilities

  • Technical Proficiency:Demonstrate strong journeyman electrician skills, including in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations. Perform installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Training and Mentorship:Assist in training apprentices by sharing expertise and providing guidance. Collaborate effectively within a team, fostering a supportive learning environment for less experienced team members.
  • Team Collaboration:Work seamlessly as part of a larger team, contributing to the overall success of projects. Communicate effectively with colleagues, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth coordination and collaboration on job sites.
  • Project Coordination:Collaborate with project managers to coordinate electrical work within the broader scope of construction projects. Ensure alignment with project timelines, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:Demonstrate a keen ability to troubleshoot electrical issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to identify problems accurately. Diagnose malfunctions in electrical systems and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
  • Installation Expertise:Execute precise and efficient electrical installations, encompassing a wide range of systems, fixtures, and equipment. Ensure compliance with design specifications and electrical codes to deliver high-quality installations.
  • Problem Resolution:Respond promptly to service calls and work orders to address various electrical needs. Effectively resolve issues related to wiring, circuits, and other electrical components, applying a systematic approach to problem resolution.
  • Preventive Maintenance:Implement preventive maintenance measures to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of electrical systems. Conduct routine inspections and make necessary adjustments to prevent potential failures.

Job requirements

  • State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License
  • 6-10 years of professional electrical experience
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical blueprints and technical drawings
  • Extensive hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Thorough understanding of electrical codes and regulations, with a commitment to ensuring compliance
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to enforce and promote a safe working environment
  • Need to be able to pass a background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
