The Maintenance Manager manages the daily requirements and scheduling for maintenance of plant equipment and facility needs. They coordinate these dutes while leading a team of direct reports in their department, handling all areas of personnel for the team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Plans, details, schedules and executes capital projects. Coordinates with project engineers as appropriate; Manages contractors working on site; Manages all plant integration work; Encourages and implements a teamwork environment;Manages plant capital projects and works with engineering to develop capital budget

Interacts with Unit Manager on plant maintenance scheduling and activities; Performs or manages plant PLC programing and program changes; Maintains all PLC, electrical and P&ID drawings in AutoCAD, PDF and printed formal;

Encourages and supports the professional development of staff to achieve the next level of performance and advancement; Provides direction, resources and developmental support for all direct reports; Provides diagnostic and troubleshooting support for maintenance and operations; Leads and manages a team in the Maintenance Department in all areas of personnel;

Promptly responds to address internal customer maintenance concerns, and effectively manages a system to conduct planned, preventive and predictive maintenance to optimize plant reliability, cost, and asset life within established budget Must understand the plant layout, equipment, process flows and impact of process parameters on process outcomes and have the ability to troubleshoot problems as they occur, especially with regard to maintenance systems;

Manages daily maintenance scheduling, including safety work orders, routine work orders, preventive maintenance work orders; Responsible for the proper management of the storeroom inventory;

Maintains work order system, part order system and master equipment list; Actively supports site JHSC through participation, support and promotion; Ensures compliance with corporate/plant policies and procedures; Communicates all issues, problems or concerns of the plant to unit manager and plant manager;

The Maintenance Manager manages the daily requirements and scheduling for maintenance of plant equipment and facility needs. They coordinate these dutes while leading a team of direct reports in their department, handling all areas of personnel for the team. Plans all maintenance and contractor shutdown activities.

Understand safety hazards in the plant and the controls in place to protect employees from injury or illness; Has responsibility to Lead, Communicate, Promote and Demonstrate Safety/Health (as #1 priority) and Environmental Stewardship/Compliance to Legal Requirements (including HSE Essentials, Operating Permits and "Good Neighbor" policies), and proactively ensures systems and training are in place to operate effectively with order and good housekeeping;

Ensures their team operates in compliance with all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations; Is a standing member of the Plant JHSC and ensures their team members participate on a rotating basis; Participates and ensures direct reports participate in plant‐wide HSE, quality and productivity initiatives;

Participates and ensures direct reports participate in HSE activities (i.e., Toolbox meetings, Plant audits, Incident investigations, Hazard IDs, etc.); Understands that safe work practices are a condition of employment and actively engages in leading indicators (including BBS, hazard IDs, safety work orders, near miss and first aid reporting, stop work, Is It Safe Tours, and JSA's) and assists in updating work procedures; Understand HSE Essentials and how they are implemented in the plant organization, rules and procedures;

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED Automation, Instrumentation and Electromechanical Technical School Degree preferred

3 to 5 years of Automation, Instrumentation and Electromechanical experience in a Manufacturing Environment

Experience in plant safety systems such as Confined Space entry, Hot Work permitting and Lockout/Tagout of industrial equipment. 3 to 5 years experience of managing direct reports.

Basic skills in areas of industrial automation, instrumentation and electomechanical equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repairs, PLC programming/automation activities, instrument calibration, running conduit, terminating wires, reading

Ability to use computer ‐ basic computer skills Strong Work Ethics Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
