We are searching for an expert Tableau Site Administrator to provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation. This position will be full-time and hybrid in Trenton, NJ.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, conducts unit testing, and maintains complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use
Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation.
Determine the best implementation that will meet the design of the architect
Work with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team
Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations
Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides
Resolve support tickets related to Tableau reports
What You'll Need
Required:
Tableau Site Admin Certified - Required
Strong understanding of Tableau Server architecture, configuration, and administration - Required
Familiarity with Tableau Online administration and maintenance - Required 3 years
Knowledge of Tableau Desktop deployment and license management - Required
Ability to manage user permissions, groups, and projects in Tableau Server and Online - Required
Understanding of Tableau Cloud security protocols and best practices - Required
Familiarity with Tableau metadata management, including data sources, schedules, and extracts - Required 3 years
Experience with troubleshooting Tableau Server issues, including performance tuning, connectivity, and server errors - Required 3 years
Experience with server monitoring and logging tools, such as Windows Event Viewer and Tableau Server logs - Required 3 years
Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V, and their impact on Tableau Server performance and configuration - Required 3 years
Understanding of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS and Azure, and their impact on Tableau Server deployment and configuration - Required
Experience with Tableau Server upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery - Nice to have (3 years)
Familiarity with Tableau APIs, including the REST API and JavaScript API, for automation and integration with other tools - Desired 3 years
Ability to collaborate with Tableau developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide solutions - Highly desired
Strong communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL data integration, business intelligence development, and database platforms
Possessing a Tableau Desktop Specialist Certificate from Tableau is preferred, and they should have experience in full life cycle development of reporting projects
Candidates should have a strong foundation in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server with experience in troubleshooting, performance tuning and resolving issues within Tableau Cloud and reports
The candidate should be able to work collaboratively and understand business requirements and system architecture
Candidates should have extensive knowledge of Tableau Desktop and Tableau Cloud along with experience as a Tableau site administrator
The ideal candidate should have experience in technical support, report design, and monitoring of system usage. They should have established best practices for enterprise Tableau environments, application intake and development processes
The candidate should have worked extensively in Tableau Desktop/Server, including recent versions of Tableau, having in-depth knowledge of Tableau Parameters, Data blending, Action filters, joins, and Drilldowns. They should also have experience in cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Views, Synonyms, Indexes, Joins, and Sub-Queries. They should have experience working with Agile methodology and be proficient in Database& Shell Scripting
Working knowledge of Power BI Admin and developer skills. Should be familiar with DAX(Data Analysis Expressions)for creating custom calculations in Power BI.”
