About Us

  • Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC (“Royal”) seeks a Grants Project Coordinator to join our team. The Grants Project Coordinator is resourceful, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team member with excellent organization and time management skills. The primary responsibility is to assist our Grants Team in organizing and developing grants from start to finish and guiding projects through the funding process. As a member of our Grants Team, the project coordinator will assist in managing all aspects of the grant development process and life cycle, including overall management, planning, and budgeting from award through closeout.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Will assist Grants Project Manager with Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grants (HUD CDBG) and CDBG-DR, Federal Emergency Management Agency Public Assistance (FEMA PA), Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) requirements.
  • Participate in project scope development and cost estimation meetings.
  • Evaluate potential problems and assist in developing solutions and improvements.
  • Assist in planning and managing team goals, project schedules, and new information.
  • Assist in supervising current projects and aid in coordinating all team members to keep workflow on track.
  • Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and stored.
  • Provide quality control and assurance of project documents and deliverables.
  • Direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes, submittals, and emails.
  • Assist in adhering to budget by monitoring expenses and reconciling project expenses.
  • Assist with operating and maintaining schedule manager.
  • Assist in reviewing and processing sub-consultant, contractor, and vendor invoices and/or contracts.
  • Assist in developing client invoices.
  • Support with client coordination.

The Criteria for Joining Our Team

Education

  • Work requires knowledge to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of a high school diploma. Relevant and sufficient work experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Certification and License(s)

  • Valid Drivers’ license

Experience

  • Over two years of project administrative and coordination experience with HUD CDBG-DR or FEMA/PA required.
  • ARPA, IIJA, and BRIC experience a plus.
  • Prior experience with the full award/grant lifecycle from pre-award through closeout on federally funded projects required, including but not limited to FEMA Grants Portal and Louisiana PA web database.

Supervision

  • Work requires the occasional direction of helpers, assistants, or temporary employees.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to acclimate to project management software or related software.
