This weekend PRN Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is perfect for SLPs to deliver the highest quality of care, with the support of a motivated team of caregivers. Located in Waxahachie, TX, you'll be ready to exceed levels of care on your time with a flexible schedule at this facility.

PAY:

$200/weekly gross

$50/hourly

4 hours/week (8A-12P on Saturdays)

MORE ABOUT THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST POSITION:

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this  Speech Language Pathologist opportunity include, but are not limited to:

1. Conduct comprehensive bedside swallow evaluations for patients at risk of dysphagia
2. Assess oral motor function, swallow reflexes, and coordination to determine the safest diet consistency and feeding strategies
3. Develop and implement individualized dysphagia treatment plans based on assessment findings
4. Perform cognitive assessments to evaluate memory, attention, executive function, and other cognitive domains
5. Design and implement cognitive communication interventions to address deficits identified in the cognitive assessment
6. Conduct comprehensive aphasia evaluations to assess language comprehension, expression, reading, and writing abilities
7. Develop and implement targeted aphasia treatment plans to improve communication skills
8. Adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures related to speech-language pathology services

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST:

1. Successful completion of National Certification Examination
2. Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
3. 2 years of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years
4. Active SLP license in TX
5. BLS issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
6. Must be eligible to work in the United States
