We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Millwork Estimator to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in our company, contributing to the successful completion of various engineering projects by providing detailed and accurate cost estimates. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating costs for millwork projects, analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. This role requires a deep understanding of millwork manufacturing, engineering principles, and business development strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Innergy software, estimating, bidding, and business development.
Responsibilities:
1. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
2. Prepare detailed cost estimates by breaking down the different elements of manufacturing including labor, material, and time requirements.
3. Use Innergy software for estimating and bid management.
4. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it's more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
5. Consult with clients, vendors, and other team members to discuss and formulate estimates, resolve issues.
6. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
7. Prepare reports and presentations to explain estimates and bids.
8. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
9. Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in millwork estimating, preferably in the engineering industry.
3. Proficiency in Innergy software and other relevant estimating software.
4. Demonstrated experience in estimating, bidding, and business development.
5. Strong understanding of millwork manufacturing and engineering principles.
6. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
9. Exceptional attention to detail.
10. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
