**Description**

**SCHEDULE**

*Afternoon Shifts*

* 1:00pm-9:30pm **OR** 2:00pm-10:30pm

* Must be available on weekends (Hospitals are open 24/7)

**ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**

* Operates cash register with an accuracy of 99.85% (plus or minus).

* Sets up appropriate cashier bank.

* Documents cash received and charges made.

* Identifies customer needs and refers to appropriate department for follow-up when necessary.

* Collects data for cash control.

* Stocking refrigerators with beverages, condiments etc.

* Cleaning, sanitizing, polishing general work areas, this includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and throwing trash.

* Prepare and gather items needed for meal service.

* Provides exceptional service to all guests.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Drug Screen and Background Check required

**MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**

KNOWLEDGE OF:

* General office standards of dress and behavior

* Basic math, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals

SKILLS IN:

* Ability to write notes and brief instructions using correct spelling and grammar

* Deliver friendly and efficient customer service

* Speak clearly and present information orally

* Ability to speak, read, understand and write English

* Apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.

* Ability to learn to operate equipment and perform a variety of repetitive tasks

* Ability to do heavy lifting

* Ability to stand for long periods of time

* Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparations and serving

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**

MINIMUM REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED.

PREFERRED: Six (6) months previous experience working with the public in a customer service role. Extensive cashier experience, experience with catering, fast food service, any prep work or any food handling experience. Experience working in kitchens of facilities or institutions that provide meals to large groups of people on a daily basis.
